Why take this tour?

You will be picked up at your location in Accra and head to Jamestown. Being one of the earliest communities in the city of Accra. You will also have the chance to visit the lighthouse as well. Your next place is the Makola Market, shopping center of Accra. Next stop at the Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum, the final resting place of Ghana’s first President. The museum anchors extraordinary work relating to Ghana’s independence and tours at the park gives you a comprehensive history of the struggle for independence. After lunch this afternoon, you will visit the W.E.B Du Bois Centre, established in 1985, as a research institution for Pan-African history and culture. You will visit the Independence Square which was commissioned in 1961 by Kwame Nkrumah, Ghana’s first President and stop will be the Arts Center in Accra where you will have the opportunity to bargain and buy souvenirs for friends and family. We finally stop at the Christiansborg Castle popularly known as the Osu castle.
