8-Day Iceland Ring Road Adventure

Our trip around Iceland was definitely an experience to remember. Our guide, Thor, was exceptional. He was calm, patient, humorous, and knowledgeable. He knew the history and the tales of Iceland, and we enjoyed learning and laughing through him. Thor also knew the extra spots to see even among the planned stops. If we had taken the trip and planned it ourselves, we would have missed a lot of unknown side views and experiences that Thor knew. Remarkably, he knew the next day’s weather better than the weather apps, and was able to plan and switch stops and experiences to different days for a better opportunity. The country of Iceland is beautiful and unusual and a sight to see and experience. We were also able to see the northern lights on three different evenings when the weather was good. Do not expect five star hotels along the way because some of the places we stayed were more remote. However, we were provided with everything we needed for a good night’s sleep and breakfast. If you plan to go, book with Troll and Thor. The best and only way to experience Iceland!

Our guide Gylfi was fantastic, very authentic, knowledgeable and has a great sense of humour. The tour was action packed and we had a nice group of people to travel with. The accommodation was variable but perfectly acceptable. We got to see a lot of Iceland and appreciate what a truly beautiful and varied country it is. I highly recommend this tour and thanks especially to Gilfri for making it so special.

Oh boy, where do I even start? This trip was absolutely AMAZING! 🇮🇸❤️ The 8 days were so full of experiences that I genuinely feel like we did everything Iceland has to offer. From exploring an ice cave, glacier walking and sailing between icebergs, to whale watching, hot springs, countless waterfalls, a lava cave, and so, so much more. Every single day had something new and unforgettable. The whole experience was extraordinary in every way. The group was small, which made the trip feel much more personal, and everything was incredibly well organized and planned. By the end of the 8 days, I honestly felt like I had seen every little part of Iceland and experienced so much more than I ever expected. And a HUGE part of what made this trip so special was our guide, Gylfi. He was absolutely wonderful and truly went above and beyond for us. He made an already incredible trip 10x better. He was attentive, kind, knowledgeable, funny, and always made sure everyone was comfortable and taken care of. Most importantly, you can genuinely see how much he loves his job and Iceland, and that energy made the whole experience even more special. He took such good care of us and made sure everything was planned perfectly throughout the entire trip. This was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience and one I will never forget. If you want to really experience Iceland and not just visit it, I cannot recommend this 8-day tour enough. Thank you Tröll, and especially Gylfi, for an unforgettable adventure! 🇮🇸❤️
