Good to know
- Machu Picchu has implemented new visitor circuits, with three main routes with specific differences to distribute passengers in various areas. These changes are intended to improve the visitor experience and preserve the integrity of the archaeological site. The circuit with route 2 will be given as priority and if it is not available, the options of taking circuit 3B or circuit 1B will be informed so that you can confirm your decision before the tickets are issued.
- VIPAC is operating with shared guides on all shifts of Circuits 2A, 2B, and 3B, as well as other circuits that include only the visit to the Machu Picchu citadel.
- Guidance will be provided in Spanish or English
- If you would like to add the visit to any additional mountain, a supplement will apply for a private guide and the corresponding entrance fee.
- Our sales team is at your service to assist with booking your Lima–Cusco–Lima flights. If you prefer to book on your own, we recommend choosing a morning flight that arrives in Cusco before midday.
- Vinicunca Mountain sits at 5,000 metres above sea level. Our experienced adventure field guides will support you every step of the way to reach the summit. Horses are available for rent at the base of the mountain.
- Humantay Lagoon sits at 5,470 metres above sea level. Our experienced adventure field guides will support you every step of the way to reach the summit. Horses are available for rent at the base of the mountain.
- The admission ticket of Machu Picchu is NOT REFUNDABLE and date changes or amendments are NOT accepted. *If you need to change your visit date, you will need to purchase a new entrance ticket.
