The Machame Route is properly the most popular route on Kilimanjaro. The route offers very good acclimatization and therefore has a high summit success rate. You will experience great adventures and a breathtaking scenery from rainforest and desert landscapes to arctic climate.
The route is perfect for both seasoned adventurers and first-time high-altitude climbers.
All your equipment and supplies are carried by porters and a cook prepares all your meals.
You will only be carrying your own day pack.
We do recommend you have at least one day in town before starting your trek. This gives you time to relax and prepare. You will also be able to meet your guide(s) who will check that you got all appropriate gear and there will be time to rent anything that you might lack.
