Travel north to visit the open-air museum of folk traditions. Traditional wooden houses and remarkably preserved tools have been brought here and displayed for the eager public. Step back in time and enter rooms restored to their original Renaissance and Baroque state.

Keep your eyes open while the road leads you through the beautiful scenery of High Tatra Mountains. Today you visit the biggest medieval castle in Central Europe – Spiš Castle (UNESCO) - the number one location for movies set in medieval times, such as The Last Legion and Dragonheart. After lunch, you enter St. James Church in the medieval town of Levoča (UNESCO) to see the tallest wooden altar in the world! The journey continues to the National park of Pieniny to drift down the river on traditional wooden rafts of lumberjacks. Spend this night in a picturesque village perfectly located under the peaks of High Tatras.

Day 5
This morning you enter the largest cave in the High Tatras. Admire the falling waterfalls and a crisp underground air, giving this cave an unforgettable atmosphere. Enjoy panoramic views in Štrbské Pleso – the most popular mountain resort in Slovakia! It’s time to visit the city of Banská Bystrica and its exposition of the darkest moments of WWII with an amazing collection of tanks, guns and uniforms. You can even enter an old Russian plane and explore it from inside!

Today’s trip starts by a short transfer to the town of Zvolen to see an armored train from WWII and the medieval castle still retained in its Renaissance look. Not far away is another highlight – the completely preserved medieval mining town of Banská Štiavnica (UNESCO). After lunch, you pick up helmets, cloaks and lamps and enter the underground excursion in mines. Free time and overnight in Bratislava.
