6-Hour Doi Pui Summit Hike in Doi Suthep National Park from Chiang Mai

Summary

We Climb to Doi Pui Summit first by the "Monk's Trail " passing  Wat Pha Lat , past Doi Suthep Temple then to the Hmong Hill Tribe Village and finally the summit of Doi Pui the highest point in the Doi Suthep National Park, 1650 m elevation.   We reach Wat Doi Suthep at 1100 m about after 2 hrs. Here we start to traverse through highland Jungle and  the old Hmong Hill Tribe Village near the summit of Doi Pui in about 3 hrs.  After a hearty lunch at the village and  about a 1 hr climb we tackle summit of Doi Pui peak. Here we get to enjoy 280 degrees views of the Mae  Ping valley. We complete our Climb with a 30 minute down hill stroll to Doi Pui Camp grounds where our ride back awaits us with cold drinks back to the comforts of Chiang Mai but not without stopping at the rich Suthep Temple first built back in 1383 .
