5-Day Traditional Tour of Cusco, Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu

Day 1: Arrival to Cusco and City Tour

When you arrive into Cusco, a representative will be waiting for you at the airport to transfer to your hotel. In the afternoon, you will enjoy a city tour, visiting the Main Square, the Cathedral, Koricancha Temple and the nearby archaeological sites of Kenko, Tambomachay, Puca Pucara and the Fortress of Sacsayhuaman.

Day 2: Sacred Valley Tour

After the breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel, to take a full day excursion to the "Sacred Valley of the Incas". Visit the picturesque village of Pisac and its colorful Craft Fair. At noon, you will have a buffet lunch at a tourist restaurant. In the afternoon, continue the journey to the village and Ollantaytambo Fortress, which was an enormous administrative, agricultural, civil, military and religious complex. In the evening, at about 4pm, you will take the train to Aguas Calientes, where a representative will meet and accommodate you in the hotel. At approximately 7pm, your guide will be located in the hotel to give indications of the tour on the next day.

Day 3: Machu Picchu Tour

At 6am, you will take the bus to climb for 30 minutes until arriving at the incredible wonder of the world "The Sanctuary of Machu Picchu", known as "The Lost City of the Incas", where you can enjoy the sunrise in the mountain. At the Sanctuary of Machu Picchu, you will begin a guided tour, visiting the Main Plaza, the Circular Tower, the Sacred Sun Dial, the Royal Quarters; the Temple of the Three Windows and the cemeteries, on a tour that lasts about two hours. Then, you will have free time to visit some places in Machu Picchu, and around at 2pm, you can take the bus to the town of Aguas Calientes, where you can have your meals at one of several restaurants in the village. In the afternoon, you will return to Cusco, take the train to Poroy, where a representative will be waiting for you to transfer you to Cusco.

Day 4: Free Day

After breakfast, you will have the day to explore the city at your leisure. You can visit museums, craft centers, San Blas street, the stone of 12 angles, the market of San Pedro, among other important places.

Day 5: Flight out from Cusco

After breakfast in the hotel, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight back to Lima.

Enjoy a 5-day tour in which you'll learn more about the mix of two different cultures, from which evidence can be found in then Inca capital and surrounding areas, as well as the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Then, be amazed at the impressive citadel of Machu Picchu where you can enjoy just pure Inca style.
