Exceptional way to experience Scotland and the Highlands
This was a great way to get to know and see Scotland and the beautiful highlands. Our driver/tour guide, Chris, was exceptional! Not only was he a good driver, he provided insightful fun stories and history and made the whole experience very enjoyable! It would be helpful if the tour operator provided the name/contact info for the B&Bs in advance of the trip. I had to contact ahead of time to get the detail so my family knew where I'd be staying. Also, by providing the B&B info in advance, travelers can call ahead and make a dinner reservation. We found a number of spots were sold out in these small towns, thus we had no dinner once we arrived in a town. Also, pack rain gear and warm clothes as Isle of Skye is chilly, rainy and windy. Lastly, the dropoff location is different from the pickup point which we did not realize and had to scramble for a cab. Overall, though - 5 stars!!
The best tour for a first timer!!!
Where do I begin. Chris was AMAZING!!! He was very informative, chock full of facts, funny, witty & very patient. The package was extremely budget friendly for 2 adults for a 5 day tour. By the end of day 1, everyone was comfortable with each other. It was a midsize bus that fit everyone perfectly. He made sure there was more than enough time to have fun.
Great Experience in the Great Highlands
We went as a family and fell in love with the Highlands. Superb weather, great history, scenic landscapes, wonderful people and good food all across 5 days tour that we took, our driver cum guide - stephen was charming scottish with great knwoledge of history, culture, geography, ecology and importantly explained things in a very humourous way.
Will remember Highlands in nicest way
Very nice experience and great 5 days tour, with the most important Highlands topics. Good accomodation chosen. But the Tour Guide, named HUGH, was absolutely utmost valuable throughout the entire tour, from the meeting point till the end of tour, and he is definitely for any reccomendations since he is very knowledgable and very helpful person, as well as funny. If you take any tour done by Highland Experience Tour operator, and get Hugh as your guide, you will understand why we were delighted.
FANTASTIC tour guide
Stefan is a FANTASTIC tour guide! He is knowledgeable, warm, friendly and very considerate. I feel like we got a really special experience, with Stefan showing us the important sites but also some off the beaten track, wonderful places. He also gave a lot of insight into Scottish history, and I left with a good feeling of how things developed the way they have. I almost never take the time to write reviews … but Stefan was such a phenomenal guide that I wanted to chime in.
