4 Days Cape Town Adventure

Summary

1. Robben Island Explore the most famous island prison in the world, Robben Island, on this half-day tour from Cape Town. Go deep into the history of Nelson Mandela's history and impact on the world through your guide's commentary as you have a look around the historic site. Round-trip ferry ticket from the Victoria and Albert Waterfront and admission to Robben Island are not included to make for a seamless experience. 2.Table Mountain Whether it is covered in a blanket of moody clouds or showing off against a crisp cloudless blue sky, Table Mountain is always spectacular. Cape Town locals are pretty fond of the mountain that looms over their city… and with good reason! Table Mountain, which is home to the richest, yet smallest floral kingdom on earth, was voted one of the New Seven Wonders of the World in 2011. Flanked by Devil’s Peak and Lion’s Head, Table Mountain makes up the northern end of the Cape Fold Mountain range. It’s hard to imagine, but the mountain’s distinctive flat top – a three-kilometre level plateau – was once the bottom of a valley! The mountain was given its name — Taboa do Cabo (Table of the Cape) — by Antonio de Saldahna after he climbed up Platteklip Gorge in 1503. 3. Wine Tour Depending on whether you prefer red or white wine, with bubbles or without, we will design a tour that meets your needs. From bold Shiraz, to mellow Merlots and perfect Pinots. We also offer tastings of the unique South African cultivar The Pinotage. The Pinotage is a red wine grape that is South Africa's signature variety. It was bred here in 1925 as a cross between Pinot noir and Cinsaut grape and the signature Pinotage vintages are prolific in the Stellenbosch area. 4.Cape of Good Hope Made famous by Vasco de Gama who was the first to map this iconic spot on the world map, yet it was Bartholomew Dias that arrived t/here first. Also known as El cabo de Esperanza - *Cape of Good Hope and Cape of Storms, because of the rough seas that has caused over 60 ships to be wrecked along this coast. The tour departs from the City of Cape, a breath taking drive along the coast via the scenic Chapman’s Peak drive. 5. Safari Game drive This is your opportunity to view the BIG 5 and other herding animals in their natural habitat on the Aquila Game Reserve - the closest game reserve to cape Town.  As a Day Visitor you will be able to experience Aquila - a 7500 hectare haven for wildlife and safari lovers.  Aquila is an animal rescue and conservation center that is a safe-haven for rescued lions, leopards and cheetahs.  This habitat offers sanctuary to animals such as the springboks, lions, cape porcupine, chacma baboons, leopards, and African elephants.  You and your small group can enjoy the reserve with hotel pickup and drop included in the tour.
