Day 1:
After pick up in Perth we will drive to the Dunsborough area to some of Western Australia’s most beautiful beaches for either a swim, whale spotting (depending on season and occurrence) or a casual walk/photo stops. Lunch will be at the glorious Eagle Bay Brewery enjoying scenic views.
We will then head to the spectacular Canal Rocks, where the waves of the Indian ocean surge and crash against the coastline. The rest of the day will be all about the famous wine of the region with at least three tastings (and more if time allows) at different vineyards before checking into our hotel for the next two nights. Dinner according to package deal.
Day 2:
After breakfast we will pick you up at the Hotel and drive to Augusta to visit Cape Leeuwin where the Indian and Pacific Ocean meet. Afterwards we drive through the beautiful Boranup forest to Hamelin Bay. Here, we are likely to encounter wild but tame and stingless rays.
Go for a swim or a nice walk before we drive to the notorious Surfer’s Point where some of the best Indian Ocean Waves hit the shore and where many epic surfing competitions have taken place. Lunch is at the White Elephant Cafe with ocean views.
Freshen up at your hotel and then come along with us to Temper Temper chocolate, Vasse Virgin and Yahava coffee for food tastings and then some more vineyards (or free time in town) for the rest of the afternoon.
Day 3:
After breakfast we will drive to Pemberton where the brave ones of us may climb the world’s second tallest fire-lookout tree (53m). Leaving the idyllic Gloucester National Park behind we are having lunch at the Thurlby Herb Farm before another highlight of the trip, the Empire Boardwalk. Here you can get up close and personal to the 400-year-old giants of the forest and take some amazing pictures and for a surcharge also experience the Valley of the Giants Tree Top Walk.
After having left behind the ancient trees which accompanied us for the day, we will enjoy the world class beaches Greens Pool and Elephant Rocks for a walk, sheltered swim and simple pleasure. Unfortunately, every big day has to come to an end and so we will drive to Albany for dinner and your accommodation for the night.
Day 4:
After breakfast we will pick you up and drive to the stunningly unique Natural Bridge and the Gap overseeing the Southern Ocean. No words or pictures can describe the incredible impression those places will have on you. We will then drive to the Porongurup National Park and go on a 4km hike up the hill to see enormous rock formations and get an incredible view of the whole area. Those who are very agile can climb even higher, the ones who don’t want to go on the hike at all can rest at a vineyard.
We will enjoy a picnic lunch before our drive back up to Perth. We hope you had a fantastic time with us…!
