Choose a morning or afternoon departure and discuss the sights and activities you're interested in with your guide prior to your 3-hour tour.
You can choose a pre-determined itinerary, adjust it to suit any particular preferences you have, or design your own custom itinerary from scratch to reflect your personal interests, be they in art, history, food, fashion or culture. Whatever you fancy, get insider tips from your guide, who will pre-plan your itinerary and logistics so everything runs smoothly.
Then, on the day, meet your guide at your St Petersburg hotel and set off to explore. Visit attractions such as the world-famous Hermitage Museum, tour the city’s highlights, or perhaps experience ‘hidden gem’ restaurants or shops recommended by your guide. All entrance fees, food and drinks are at your own expense.
Example Itinerary:
Meet your guide at your city hotel and travel to beautiful Palace Square in the heart of St Petersburg. See the square’s Alexander Column and yellow-and-white General Staff Building, and admire the magnificent Admiralty, with its gilded spire.
Stroll onward to St Isaac’s Cathedral to see its immense gold dome and admire the stellar city views from the dome colonnade. Then, pass through Arts Square to view the beautifully harmonious buildings that surround it, including the Mikhailovsky Palace, home to the Russian Museum.
Continue to the Church of our Saviour on Spilled Blood to admire its colorful, onion-shaped domes, and hear how this richly decorated, 19th-century church was built on the assassination site of Tsar Alexander III.
Then, check out a string of other landmarks including the Field of Mars and the Bronze Horseman, the imperious equestrian statue of Peter the Great that faces the River Neva, the city's main waterway.
Finish by enjoying panoramic views of the Neva as your guide points out the signature sights along its banks.
