Day 1: Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou – Draa Valley – Zagora
The trip will be start form Marrakech early in the morning, you will drive by 4x4 through the high Atlas and stop in Tizi-n-Tichka, a little Berber village pass (7,414.7ft/ 2,260m of altitude). You will enjoy the panoramic views of Kasbah Ait Benhaddou and have lunch followed by a guided visit of the UNESCO heritage Kasbah. A 43.5 mile (70km) track will then take you to the magnificent Drâa Valley. Enjoy a panoramic view of millions of palm groves and thousands of Kasbahs. Arrival to Zagora late in the afternoon, dinner and overnight stay at a comfortable hotel or guesthouse.
Day 2: Zagora – Mhamid – Sacred Oasis – Chegaga sand dunes
After a hearty Moroccan breakfast, you will start our journey with the visit the Koranic School and the underground library of Tamegrout. Lunch will be at M’hamid and afterwards you will head to Erg Chegaga by the Paris-Dakar rally route and pass through the Sacred Oasis before arriving to the biggest dune in Morocco Erg Laabidia to spend the night in the desert camp.
Day 3: Chegaga Sand Dunes – Foum Zguid – Taznakht – Marrakech
After seeing the sunrise and take breakfast, you will continue the trip to Foum-Zguid and take the former track of Paris-Dakar, passing by the dry lake Iriqui. You will have lunch at Taznakht, and arrive back in Marrakech around 6:30pm.
