A lost valley in the center of the Central High Atlas. This valley has drawn from a geological disaster a great wealth. A collapse downstream of the valley obstructed the flow of the river. The alluvial deposits deposited over millennia have filled the lake thus created. The small river now winds and irrigates a vast plateau covered with all kinds of culture. The Berbers of the valley built many villages on the edge of this vast treasure. It is the "happy valley" sung by the troubadours of the High Atlas.
