3 day walking in Sapa/Ta Van Valley
I did the 3-day trek in Sapa from Hanoi on my own. As for the transfer, it was an old, slightly dirty bus with "bed-style" seats though they were very small but it turned out okay in the end, and I was met in Sapa upon arrival. One thing I didn't realize when traveling solo is that you might be with different people over the three days, or even just alone with your guide. I think a two-day tour would have been enough, since the third leg of the trek wasn't very long and was cut even shorter due to the weather. Still, I enjoyed staying for three days because I wasn't in a rush to get back to Hanoi. My guide, Vu, was excellent, she explained the whole itinerary, shared information about the valley, and spoke very good English.
Lovely hiking trip
It was a very nice time! Su knew a lot about the place and safely showed us around in a nice, calm way. The homestay was fantastic and the food was great too! 3 days was the perfect amount of time, and I think the price-quality ratio was also very good!
