Why take this tour?

Deep in the backcountry is where memories are made… Whether it’s the exhilarating rush as you catch the first glimpse of the glacier you’ll be hiking on, looking over the edge of a deep glacier crevasse, the fresh mountain air that fills your lungs, or the sense of wonder gazing across the Harding Icefield.

In contrast to crowded roadside tours in Alaska, our expeditions get way out there, and are limited to only 10 guests. Bottom line? A more intimate experience with everything from mountains, glaciers, and amazing vistas.

Beyond the jaw-dropping scenery, your experienced and friendly guide will teach you glacier mountaineering, share stories, Harding Icefield history, and answer any questions you have throughout the expedition.

Whether you’re here for the first time, hosting visitors, or looking for a once-in-a-lifetime adventure, our backcountry adventures offer unforgettable experiences of our beautiful backyard.
