3-Day Bisoke Volcano Hike and Lake Kivu Retreat in Gisenyi

Volcanoes National Park has become synonymous with mountain gorilla tracking safaris and no visit to Rwanda would be complete without visiting these majestic primates. For those who cannot afford the gorilla permits, this tours offers two alternatives in the same park; tracking the golden monkeys or climbing Mount Bisoke which is is one of the Virunga volcanoes and boasts a wonderful crater lake at the summit.

The tour also offers an opportunity to encounter the local people of Burera who take us on a canoe tour to the many islands of the Twin Lakes (Ruhondo, Burera). We also take a short walk through the hills and get to discover the history of the communities who live in that area.
