Getting into Bardia: Bardia is located in the south-western Nepal in the Terai region. The access point is a village called ‘Ambassa’ situated on the east west highway. Bardia can be reached either by drive or flight from different cities as per below:
Drive from Delhi: Take a bus to the border at Banbassa (9 hours), cross the border at Mahendranagar in Nepal and take one of the east bound buses that leave the city regularly (4 hours to Ambassa).
Drive from Kathmandu: There are many buses going to Dhangadi & Mahendranagar via Ambassa (16 hours approx.)
Drive from Pokhara: Many buses go to Bhairawa, Lumbini & from Bhairawa to Mahendranagar via Ambassa (12 hours approx.)
Drive from Bhairawa, Lumbini: Many buses go to Mahendranagar via Ambassa (8 hours approx.)
Drive from Sauraha, Chitwan: Many buses go to Narayanghat then to Mahendranagar via Ambassa (12 hours approx.)
Flight from Kathmandu: There are daily flights to Nepalgunj from Kathmandu (1 hour approx.). Our guide with a jeep will pick you up from Nepalgunj airport and transfer you to the resort (additional cost involved).
