Experience the best of RJ state by exploring the Três Picos State Park, a mountainous wild region with giant walls of granite only 3 hours away from Rio de Janeiro!
We will pick up travelers around 7:00 AM at their hotel / Airbnb. Then we drive for 3 hours to Teresopolis. After driving on a dirt road for a little, we will hike for 3 hours to reach the peak named Caixinha de Fósforo (Matches Box), next to the park base camp, known as Valley of Gods. After that, we will start a 2-hour descent to the other side of the valley, where travelers will sleep in a mountain shelter (with a proper bathroom, hot shower, and beds). We hope you will be hungry because we will cook delicious oven-made artisanal pizza (included) and will serve our finest homemade beers (not included)!
On the next day, after eating a traditional Brazilian breakfast of the region, we will hike back for 2 hours to Valley of Gods, then climb up for 1 hour approx. to Cabeça de Dragão (Dragon's Head). The summit will present us with a panoramic view of the park, facing dozens of mountains. Then, we will start a 3-hours hike down to get back to the car for the drop-off in Rio de Janeiro.
