2-Day Great Barrier Reef Combo: Green Island Sailing and Outer Reef Snorkel Cruise

Begin your first day with a reef and tropical beach adventure. Board this classical 16m sailing schooner at Cairns Marlin Marina and start to enjoy  the crew's service with a cup of tea or coffee served with freshly baked Danish pastries and fresh fruit. As you leave the dock, lend a hand to hoist the sails or simply settle in and relax. After a safety briefing enjoy the motor-sail to "Pinnacle Reef " just 1 km off Green Island. If you plan to scuba dive, you'll complete your paperwork and briefs on the journey so you are ready to dive as soon as you moored. Once moored at Pinnacle Reef you’ll be greeted by schools of tropical fish. Hit the water and snorkel or dive in this underwater paradise. The protected marine life includes endless varieties of colorful fish, turtles, giant clams, starfish and sea anemones. After a morning of snorkeling and optional scuba diving, a delicious buffet lunch is served onboard before you transfer by dinghy to Green Island. Green Island is a protected Marine Park, topped with emerald rainforest and surrounded by white sandy beaches and coral reefs. Relax on the beach or explore the island keeping an eye out for turtles, blue spotted stingrays, schools of fish and interesting shells. Visit Marineland Melanesia to watch the crocodile feeding and see turtles, corals and other marine life up close. After enjoying over 4 hours on the Great Barrier Reef, set sail back to Cairns (wind permitting). On day 2 head down to the same check-in point at the Reef Fleet Terminal for your next tour. After check-in board from 7.30am and say hello to the friendly crew some of whom you will now already know! Enjoy the same culinary delights as for your previous day tour but this time sit back and relax on a 20M fast cruiser getting to your first reef destination on the Outer Edge Upolu reef in just over an hour. Take part in the complimentary informative Adventure Drift Snorkel tour and Glass Bottom Boat tour as your knowledgeable crew show you the best this reef area has to offer. Take the optional extra dive along "Wonder Wall" and be mesmerised by this wall of coral and marine life greeting you throughout this experience. After lots of relaxed snorkelling and water activities come back on board an enjoy your sumptuous smorgasbord lunch as the crew pack up and head to your second destination Upolu Cay Reef. If conditions allow, land on this sandy Cay in the middle of the ocean and snorkel in the beautiful clear azure waters of this "aquarium like" coral garden. Keep an eye out for turtles and rays during the snorkel tours. After 6 hours of unrushed pleasure return to Cairns by 4.30pm and enjoy another great sunset drink on the esplanade to end your perfect 2 day experience

If intending to take part in diving all divers (whether certified or introductory diver) will be required to fill out a diving medical questionnaire on board. If diving is an important option for you please advise if you have any medical issues ( past or present ) or taking any medications so we can advise if any QLD diving medical clearance is required . Some medical conditions and medication may preclude you from diving . It is imperative for your safety that you answer the questions on the form truthfully
Tour requires you to be stable and mobile enough to move around a moving vessel and to transfer from main vessel onto tender and back
