2.5 Hour Guided Tour of Monument Valley

Choose from a handful of departure times and meet at the View Hotel inside the Monument Valley Tribal Park.

The tour’s first stop is John Ford’s Point, where well-known Westerns were filmed. Listen while your guide tells you stories about the filming of Westerns and 'Transformers: Age of Extinction' at the site. Move onto the park backcountry, stopping at Sun’s Eye Arch and checking out Anasazi petroglyphs.

Continue to the Big Hogan and the Ear of the Wind, stopping for photos if you choose. Moving out of the backcountry, head to the Totem Pole and learn about its cultural significance and history.

Admire the Mitten Butte from North Window, and return to your departure point.

Monument Valley’s cinematic landscapes and sandstone towers lie within the Navajo Nation Reservation. On this guided tour, visit the valley’s iconic filming locations and backcountry monuments, gaining access to areas you wouldn’t be able to on your own. Hear insightful commentary from your guide along the way, and you can choose between morning or afternoon tour times to best fit your schedule.
