Great detail. Excellent guide.
We knew only a little about the 1916 uprising before this Tour and by the time it was over it was hard to remember all the details we had heard. Tom was an excellent guide who made the characters and events of the Easter uprising come alive. We will read further to understand it better. The two hour tour does not return to the International Bar where it starts. So it is a pretty good walk to return to where you began.
A must-do
Tom was absolutely great! His knowledge and way of storytelling makes you connect with the history of the easter rising and the people involved. We learned a lot and had a great experience!

Funny, interesting, emotional
We really loved this walking tour. Tom was a wealth of knowledge whilst also humorous on the tour. We have always had a great interest in irish history but still learnt so many new stories and interesting facts. I would highly recommend!
Excellent
Very inreresting walking tour on our weekend in Dublin. We met in the International Bar in the city centre and were immediately greeted by our tour guide, Tom. Tom spent about 10 minutes in the bar introducing himself, informing us of what we could expect on the tour and gave us an introduction into Irish history in the build up to 1916. During the walk Tom was easy to follow and very clear to hear. He was very expressive in the details of everything involving the 1916 Easter Rising and made sure everybody was involved. Questions from the group were encouraged and he answered all questions with knowledge and humour. The tour lasted around 2 hours and allowed us all to see key buildings that were involved in the events of the Easter Rising. The detail that Tom went into to give us all an image of what occured in the events was impressive and his knowledge of the main leaders of the resistance was superb. A very good tour and one I would recommend. Tom was very knowledgeable, friendly and in true Irish fashion, funny. Good value for money and we are pleased with our experience.
