10-Day Ultimate Small-Group Tour of Ireland from Dublin

It’s a great way to see so much of Ireland and gives you an appreciation of the beautiful landscape and small towns and larger cities.

I just returned from the ultimate 10 day tour of Ireland with Mark as our guide. This was my first international group tour and it was such an amazing experience. Mark welcomed us with a warm Irish welcome and went above and beyond to give us the best of the best and make us all feel comfortable. He offered lots of tidbits of information and tips, answered all of the group’s questions and was quickly loved by the group. I know he was also working hard behind the scenes and kept us well informed of the itinerary. The types of experiences chosen were well balanced. I didn’t experience any issues with the places we stayed and the food was good. The sights are absolutely stunning. We were very fortunate with the weather, but definitely recommended good walking shoes and rain jacket. This was an excellent choice to experience some of the best highlights of such a beautiful place. It would e easy to spend at least a day in many of the spots but we were able to experience so much in a short amount of time. 10/10 recommend overland tours with Mark. My husband & I completed the Overland 10 Ultimate Tour and it was fantastic! Exactly what we had hoped for. We learned so much about the country, the people and Ireland's rich history. Our tour guide, Mark, was stellar! Everything was so seamless and easy. I would highly recommend Overland and especially Mark! We are looking to book our trip to Portugal with Overland! We just concluded our Overland Ireland 10-day Ultimate tour, and it was wonderful. The accommodations were great with a hot, hearty breakfast provided every morning. The small group size drew us close to each person in the group, making the experience even more meaningful. At some stops we had local guides, who were always well informed and engaging. We enjoyed the drive as much as the beautiful sights of Ireland because our guide, Matthew, was a font of knowledge and kept us entertained with bite-sized history lessons (to be continued the next day!) along with some of the stories and myths of Ireland. To top it off, when our group decided to add an activity that was not on our schedule, Matthew took care of arranging the whole thing. All we had to do was show up!

After booking with another larger tour company to be let down close to the departure, I found this trip. I’m so glad our other one got cancelled as we thoroughly enjoyed this 10 day experience with Overland. We saw so much in a short time but wasn’t rushed, our guide James certainly made the trip enjoyable for all of us. He was entertaining, well travelled, knowledgeable about the history and we learnt so much. Nothing was too much trouble. We loved the itinerary, the accommodation was varied but Lough Eske Castle was definitely a highlight. James went over and above to make bookings for our group for dinners or you could do your own thing, but it was so busy in the towns it was lucky we had a booking. He recommended pubs with great music and even helped us find a seat when he was there. The Irish music was fabulous as was the Guinness! On a day of inclement weather James prepared a different itinerary seeing caves, cheese tasting, birds of prey and even my suggestion of the perfumery. The company was great in paying for the caves tour (which was fabulous) for us on the day even though we had other bookings on a ferry. We saw history in making in seeing Mayo win the football, what a great experience, and certainly had lots of Craic (fun). The black cab tour in Ireland (optional) was so informative and eye opening. Our group was great only 11 and we all had a great time. The bus was older, ok, but could use an upgrade!! Thanks James for a fantastic trip and if ever in Oz look us up!!
