Summary

Your day begins with pickup from your central Paphos hotel. There you board a comfortable, air-conditioned coach and journey into the scenic Troodos Mountains, the hills of Cyprus’ interior. Stop to visit the 12th-century Chrysorrogiatissa Monastery, a retreat dedicated to the Virgin Mary, before continuing through Paphos Forest—protected pine woodlands in northwest Troodos—toward Kykkos. Here, tour Kykkos Monastery to see its treasures, including a Virgin Mary icon believed to have been painted by the Apostle Luke. Then, venture through Marathassa Valley before a lunch stop (own expense) at a village. Finally, stroll around the cobbled winemaking village of Omodos and visit its Holy Cross Monastery, home to a piece of rope reputedly used to tie Jesus to the cross. While here, enjoy time for coffee or to try Cypriot commandaria wine and the local spirit, zivania, before your tour finishes with drop-off at your Paphos hotel.
