A gentle morning hike through the sub-tropical scenery of the Cloud Forest: this short expedition of three to four hours in the Yungas is suitable for all. We trek in San Lorenzo, a lovely spot only a few km from Salta city, and the traditional summer retreat to cooler climes.
This is a taste of lush, sub-tropical jungle landscape, close to Salta city, and in complete contrast to some of the more rugged desert terrain of north-west Argentina. Our guide is experienced in hiking all terrain, and speaks English and Spanish. We have groups of a maximum of four people, so every hike can be tailor-made to your taste. We will provide a typical salteño lunch of empanadas, included in the price. This particular short trek is suitable for all abilities.
Social distancing of 1.5m is recommended within Argentina. While it is impossible to maintain this distance within the vehicle (a 4x4 pick-up), it's only a 20 minute journey to the start of the hike. Masks are not obligatory during the trek, but are in all other public places and within the vehicle.
