Summary

Let's ride with an authentic Chagra traversing the most energetic paramos on the Rumiñahui Volcano! We will leave Quito early in the morning (07H30) and head towards Hacienda El Porvenir at 3,600 m. (11,808 ft.). After a brief riding lesson, our ride begins towards the slopes of the dormant Rumiñahui volcano on exclusive paths inside the hacienda. As we travel across majestic Andean panoramas, we will discover herds of imponents wild bulls, Andean birds (chances of Condors) and spectacular landscapes. Our destination is near the rocky peaks of Rumiñahui where one can see 12 or more volcanoes on a clear day. We will stop by Chusigmachai, or the Owl Refuge, before riding back to the farmhouse to enjoy a packed lunch. After this legendary ride, we will visit Hacienda El Porvenir to relax our muscles at the three whirlpools of APU Mountain SPA wet area. Then we will return to Quito. Riding Time: Five hours aprox.. NOTE: Horse riders can’t exceed 220 pounds of weight.
