Why take this tour?

You'll walk along the Latin Quarter's ancient streets and see Paris' three most beautiful churches: Notre Dame Cathedral, St. Chapelle and St. Etienne du Mont. You'll also pass famous institutes and universities, exquisite fountains and statues, art treasures from the Middle Ages, student haunts and the Left Bank abodes of Sigmund Freud, Ernest Hemingway, Pablo Picasso, the beat poets and Jim Morrison.

A night walk is memorable in any city, but particularly so in the whimsical streets of Paris! The Latin Quarter in Paris was given its nickname in the thirteenth century when the Sorbonne University taught classes exclusively in Latin… Hence, the quarter was nicknamed, after the ancient Roam tongue. Our Night Walk goes through the cobblestone streets of this charming neighbourhood and into the heart of Parisian history.

As the sun sets and the lights twinkle on, your guide will touch on everything from Roman ruins to ancient universities, and onto the great intellectuals of France. Still, with a very ancient feel, this is where Paris began and continues to be one of the most popular areas of the city. It homes Paris' grandest Mosque, the picturesque Jardin de Plants and the Pantheon, where Zola, Voltaire, Hugo and Rousseau, are all buried. Commonly referred to the coolest area in Paris, the Left Bank offers you everything from stylish restaurants, beautiful gardens, to jazz bars open all night long. Filled with history-rich museums, beautiful churches and of course, a Paris institution, Shakespeare & Company; this is the independently-owned English bookstore opened by Sylvia Beach in 1919. You will be in delight of the charm and substance this incredibly interesting neighbourhood evokes.

Loaded with history and robust feelings of the past, this neighbourhood will take you on a journey through time, explaining to you all the unbelievable lessons of its past.
