  • Take three full days to explore one of Iceland’s most popular regions

  • See waterfalls, Fjadrargljufur Canyon, Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon, and more

Summary

Your tour begins with hotel pickup in Reykjavik. Board your minibus and set off toward Thingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Then, head to the Geysir geothermal area to explore it on your own. Next is Gullfoss waterfall, one of the most-visited in Iceland. After also stopping at Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss waterfalls, spend the night in Vik, where you hunt for the northern lights—as you will each night of the tour—if conditions permit. On the second day, visit black-sand beaches and glaciers. Start with a stop at Reynisfjara, with its impressive basalt pillars, and continue toward Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon. Afterward, spend the night in the Skaftafell area. The final day of the tour is spent on an ice cave and glacier hiking adventure. Hike to a glacier with your guide and explore a magical ice cave. Then, start the journey back to Reykjavik. Stop at Fjadrargljufur Canyon along the way and conclude the tour with a drop-off at your hotel.
