Small-Group Tour of Portillo Ski Center and Inca Lagoon from Santiago

Summary

Get picked up in the morning from your hotel in Santiago (includes the districts of Vitacura, Las Condes, Providencia, or the city center), and travel by van with your small group north out of the city and up into the spectacular scenery of the Andes. Travel along Chile’s Los Libertadores Highway, stopping to explore a monument to Chilean history and passing through the Chacabuco Tunnel. You’ll eventually reach the Aconcagua Valley, a scenic area that’s home to a burgeoning wine industry and views of Mount Aconcagua, the tallest peak in the Southern and Western hemispheres. You’ll eventually arrive at Portillo Ski Center, enjoying a greeting from the resort’s friendly St. Bernard when you enter. Spend some free time exploring the resort on your own, taking advantage of the resort ski lift up to a restaurant offering great views and lunch (own expense), or simply admire the beautiful “Laguna del Inca” (Inca Lagoon). You’ll be returned to your Santiago-area hotel at 6pm.
