This fascinating  Alcatraz & GoCar package includes a morning Alcatraz tour that can be completed in 2 to 4 hours. You'll board the ferry on over to the notorious island for the award winning audio tape during your self-guided tour of the cell block. Then hop into your GoCar for the afternoon to explore along the waterfront, through historic Crissy Field and the Presidio on your way to the Golden Gate Bridge for spectacular views.  You can then choose to work your way back down crooked Lombard Street to Fishermans Wharf.

This exciting package provides a morning Alcatraz tour, along with a one hour GoCar afternoon tour.  Alcatraz is best known as one of the world's most legendary prisons.
It include the boat ride over to the island and a multilingual audio tour with a wealth of stories to be learned about the prison and island.  Civil War-era buildings dotting the island give insight into the 19th century when the island served as both a harbor defense fort and a military prison. You can also see visible reminders of the American Indian Occupation that started in 1969 after the prison closed, highlighting an important milestone in the American Indian rights movement.  The award-winning audio cell block tour provides an immersive experience of the prison, complete with sound effects and actual interviews of former guards and inmates.

Following the Alcatraz tour you'll enjoy the GoCar for a drive along the waterfront and continue to historic Crissy Field and the Presidio on your way to the Golden Gate Bridge for spectacular views.  You can then head over to the crooked Lombard Street and return or continue going on the 2 or 3 hour tour loop and just pay the difference in rental charges when you return. 

<ul><li> A driver’s license must be in the customer’s physical possession (no photocopy). For foreign customer’s, an international license is not necessary.</li><li>The GoCar is registered as a motorcycle - but a motorcycle license is not required to operate the vehicle.</li><li>All renters must be able to read, understand and sign a liability release and waiver form (standard participant agreement).</li><li>On the day of rental, a $500 security deposit will be held on the customer’s credit card. If a CDW or SLI insurance plan is selected, a $150 security deposit will be held. The security deposit is released when the GoCar is returned. </li><li>Your tour’s length may vary due to circumstances such as departure time and location, traffic, and your itinerary. If you take additional rental time, this will be billed in 15 minute increments at our retail rates.</li></ul>
