Why take this tour?

Join Georgian gastronomy bloggers and cookbook authors Katy and Acho in their cozy kitchen to explore the diverse flavors and techniques of traditional Georgian cooking during your private lesson. Cook together for about 1.5 hours before sitting down to enjoy the meal you helped prepare at the dining table. Georgian cuisine reflects the country’s geographical position, with tastes and influences from its neighbors and distinct regions within the country. Katy and Acho will introduce you to a variety of Georgian dishes that include different meats and fresh breads cooked in a clay oven, robustly flavored with herbs, nuts and fruits like tarragon, coriander, sour plums and walnuts. Your menu might include khachapuri (dough stuffed with Georgian cheese), khinkali (meat dumplings with Georgian spices), chakapuli (lamb or veal stew flavored with onions and tarragon, shkmeruli (chicken braised in cream and garlic), roasted potatoes, and Georgian tomato salad.
