Description
This exclusive tour of David and the Duomo lets you skip the lines at two of Florence’s biggest attractions and revel in some of the greatest art and architecture produced during the Italian Renaissance. Visit Michelangelo’s ‘David’ before the crowds show up; enjoy exclusive access to the Cathedral's terraces and climb the Florence Dome without waiting in line.

You’ll start first thing in the morning, meeting your local expert guide and intimate group of 15 people or fewer outside the Accademia. Before the daytime crowds show up, you’ll head into marvel at Michelangelo’s ‘David’ as well as his unfinished sculptures known as ‘Slaves’ which give incredible insight into the mind of the great artist.

After your visit at the Accademia you'll explore the streets of Florence. Your guided walking tour takes you to Piazza della Signoria, an open-air art galelry and many other city highlights. As you walk your guide will tell you the stories that bring the city to life around you.

Next, it’s onto the Duomo Square  where you will stop off at the Baptistery to see a set of bronze doors cast by Lorenzo Ghiberty that Michelangelo dubbed the 'Gates of Paradise. Your guide will give a full introduction to the square which still boasts one of the largest domes in the entire world, Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, more commonly known as Florence Duomo.

We’ve saved the best for last. After learning about this magnificent Cathedral, you’ll visit the Duomo Terraces where you’ll use a special entrance to skip the (always long) line and climb all the way up to the top of the Duomo for the city’s most amazing views.
