Summary

Begin your day with hotel pickup from your lodging in the Liberia area between 7 a.m. and 8 a.m. (exact time given upon reconfirmation). Arrive at Blue River Resort and Hot Springs around 10 a.m., and enjoy a welcome cocktail at the spa while you change into appropriate clothing for an outdoor adventure. At 10:30 a.m., take a short drive to the Blue River Canopy Park to begin your eco-adventure. Take a dip in the Grand Waterfall, hike along rain forest trails following creeks and waterfalls, and swim in natural mineral pools. Keep your eyes peeled for sightings of wild animals like howler monkeys and iguanas in their natural habitat along the way. At 12:30 p.m., return to Blue River Resort and Hot Springs for lunch, and then spend the remainder of the afternoon enjoying your choice of activities during free time. Swim in natural mineral pools, tour the 700 species of plants at a botanical garden, spot Blue Morphos and more at a butterfly garden, jump into hot springs, or opt for a spa treatment (own expense). Return to your hotel around 4 p.m.

You’ll be entering a ”paradise on earth” and will have an adventure of a lifetime.Rincon de la Vieja is based out of Blue River Resort & Hot Springs and offers three tours. Two are combo-tours that feature either an adventure to the incomparable blue volcanic rivers and majestic waterfalls by horse or car. Or choose the canopy tour, through rainforest, waterfalls and ending with a Tarzan Swing. These combine with a visit to Blue River Resort & Hot Springs. The third tour option is to spend the day at Blue River Resort & Spa to experience the the hot springs pools, botanical gardens, butterfly gardens, mud bath and natural sauna, the Spa, gym and more. We pick up early morning and deliver you home in time for dinner.
