Summary

Your tour begins with pickup from your Quito hotel. Traveling by private vehicle, set out on the journey, winding through the Andes and passing along the dramatic ‘Avenida de los Volcanes’ (Route of the Volcanoes). Along the way, stop for breakfast (own expense) at a local restaurant and enjoy views of the Limpiopungo lagoon. On arrival in the Cotopaxi National Park, jump out to begin your hike in the shadows of the Cotopaxi Volcano. After the hike, saddle up for a mountain bike excursion through the paramo grasslands. Since you have your own private guide, you're free to adjust the itinerary to hike or bike more, or skip an activity altogether. Back at the starting point, your driver will be waiting to take you to a local restaurant, where you can refuel with a hearty lunch (own expense) before driving back to the city. Return to Quito, where your tour ends with drop-off at your hotel. Please note: A minimum of 2 people per booking is required.

After we pick you up at your hotel, we will drive south down the Panamericana Highway. Your biking tour will take place in the Cotopaxi National Park, named after one of the highest active volcanoes on earth, which at just over 19.000 feet, is one of the most stunning sights in Ecuador. You will bike next to Cotopaxi’s base on dirt roads surrounded by an other-worldly landscape dotted by rocks strew about by the volcano during its last major eruption.
