Summary

Meet your guide at 7:30 a.m. at the Playa Flamingo dive center, or arrange for a pickup from your hotel in the area. With your PADI-certified instructor and group members, board a dive boat and head out for roughly 40 minutes to Las Catalinas Islands. Take two 45-minute dives with a one hour surface interval in between. The area is known for its diversity of tropical marine life, including giant manta rays, dolphins, moray eels, puffer fish, and giant clusters of schooling jacks. Return to the dive center by 12:30 p.m. Please note: Evidence of scuba certification is required from all passengers wishing to participate in this dive.

On this tour you will enjoy 2 dives at Las Catalinas Islands. Las Catalinas are home to a fantastic variety of marine life and is the best coastal diving in Costa Rica. Giant Manta Rays, White Tip Reef Sharks, Eagle Rays, Devil Rays, Turtles, Dolphins, Moray Eels, Puffer Fish, giant clusters of schooling Jacks, Grunts and if you are really lucky in the summer months, Humpback Whales. Pick ups from Tamarindo, Langosta, Playa Grande, Potrero, Flamingo and Las Catalinas and available.

The only Dive Center in the region with a full service beachfront location, SDCR is a boutique operation catering for 8 divers max per day for your enjoyment and safety. We dive Las Catalinas Islands everyday (except Monday) and welcome all certified divers. We also offer Discover Scuba and Snorkeling experiences for those without a certification. We conduct PADI Open Water and Discover Scuba courses daily in addition to PADI advanced courses for those that want to further their scuba training. If you have started a PADI Course and want to get finished up we can assist you with completing your course and getting you certified. Our boat departs from the Costa Rica Sailing Center which is a great place to hang out for the day, with bar, restaurant and pool facilities onsite. We offer transfers from most locations in the general area.
