Guided walking tours on Exmoor showcasing the very best of the landscape, the people who live here and the famous Starry Skies, free of light pollution. Tours can include a traditional farmhouse roast lunch or supper back at our typical Somerset "longhouse", a pub lunch and/or a very special homemade picnic out on the moor. Choose from an "Exmoor inspires" walk, where a local tale, such as R.D.Blackmore's Lorna Doone, is woven through the valley, visiting scenes from the novel en route. Or experience the very views that inspired works of poetry such as Kubla Khan, by Samuel Taylor Coleridge. We also visit seaside towns such as Lynmouth and Lynton, exploring the architecture and revisiting the calamitous flood of 1952. This tour includes a trip on a Victorian Heritage Steam Railway with a cream tea. Through the Summer months you can join us for a forest walk at dusk to hear migratory nightjars churring, groups can enjoy a delicious barbecue, with homemade produce from our farm.
