The Salem History 2 and 1/2 hour Walking Tour is an eclectic presentation with an engaging narrative, historical artifacts and traditional song to describe four hundred years of Salem’s unique place in our national story. This 1.7 mile tour is guided by Kenneth Glover, a licensed Salem tour guide. The tour covers Salem’s history from its beginnings as a summer settlement of the Massachusett Tribe to the Salem Witch Trials; the commerce and culture of an predominant New England seaport, the American Revolution and finally the McIntire historic district with its memorably beautiful homes and gardens.
